Projected Salary Structure Adjustments for 2009

Most salary structures have control points (often the midpoints) within each salary grade. These control points should be analyzed regularly (at least annually) to ensure the salary structure remains competitive and keeps up with inflation.

According to WorldatWork, salary structures are projected to increase in 2009 as follows:

Officers/executives... 2.8%

Exempt salaried employees... 2.7%

Nonexempt salaried employees... 2.7%

Nonexempt hourly nonunion... 2.6%
