A Generation Y Perspective

I am a Web Content Developer at Administaff in Kingwood, Texas, and a proud member of Generation Y.

I am a writer and a proud member of Generation Y.

Prior to writing about business and HR, I was an Associate Editor at two business-to-business pet products magazines in Southern California, and an Assistant Web Content Producer for a Gannett Company, Inc. newspaper in New York. At both jobs I helped the company further develop an online presence and grow Web site content and user traffic.

I have a Bachelor’s in Journalism and Public Relations from Utica College, and have been writing since I was old enough to hold a pencil. I’ve published hundreds of articles in national and local magazines and newspapers, and have had my own column twice. I have 26 years experience being Generation Y.

In my free time, I work on my blog, Procrastinating Writers, which offers guidance for writers who struggle to get started. I’m also the Marketing Director of the Woodlands Writer’s Guild and I write fiction.

My non-writing hobbies include: Hanging out with my puppy, Weiland; hand-making greeting cards; indulging in everything fashion-related; cooking; and educating people about nutrition and healthy living.
