I have a Bachelor of Science in Business and Public Administration from the University of Texas at Dallas. I have my certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR). I am a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) and the Dallas Human Resource Management Association where I have served as a VP of Programs and a VP of Special Interest Groups. I was also a member of the American Society for Training and Development –Dallas Chapter, where I served as Director, VP of Marketing, VP of Participation and Chairman of Advertising/Special Promotions. I have served on several committees for the HR Southwest Conference and as a Board Member and Company Coordinator for Corporate Challenge.

In my 20 years of experience in the Human Resources field, I have held several positions, including: Employee Benefits Supervisor and Human Resources Manager for three companies. I currently work as a Senior Human Resources Specialist for Insperity in Dallas, TX where I consult with my client companies on HR issues to improve employee productivity and reduce employer liability.

In my spare time, I enjoy the performance arts, especially musicals. I sing in my church choir and am learning to play the piano. I love to read mysteries and true crime stories, as well as travel. Even though I am a fifth generation Texan, my favorite place to visit is New York City. Besides the awesome musicals available to enjoy there, my preference for NYC might also have something to do with the fact that I love to shop!
