HR Group Therapy---You Are Not Alone
Biography: Cara Whedbee

I am a licensed Marriage & Family Therapist in the State of Texas and a fully trained Play Therapist. I have my Ph.D. in Psychology and Christian Counseling and have counseled hundreds of families, individuals, groups, children and adolescents in many different environments over the course of my therapy career, including: private practice; agencies; shelters; and a psychiatric hospital.

My background also includes executive recruiting experience; business consulting with hundreds of small to medium-sized business owners; and HR consulting for small to medium-sized businesses to help business owners reduce liabilities, provide big company benefits and put into place a systematic way to increase employee productivity, thereby making HR a strategic profit center rather than a cost center for their businesses.

I am a published author in these fields, including my recent book, The Point System: The Game Every Woman Plays—and Loses! I have also been a speaker to executives and employees of various companies on issues regarding Psychology & Your Employees.

I currently reside in Texas with my husband, Tim, and our two dogs (furry children) Sir William and Teddy Bear. In my spare time, I love to read, sing, fish with my husband and watch movies and T.V.
