HR Software Helps Make Life Easier
How HR-Related Needs and Problems Motivate Me
I completely feel the pain of business owners or managers trying to cope with demanding HR-related needs and requirements. That understanding helps me feel like a successful manager when I can provide tangible, hands-on solutions to help them solve their day-to-day problems.
Let’s begin with an example: A small-to-medium-size business owner or manager needs to conduct employee-performance reviews.
Can You Relate to This?
I’ve heard many business entrepreneurs say they are completely overwhelmed by an employee-performance review process. Most small business owners lack the time and background required to develop a comprehensive and legally-compliant process and related documentation. I hear statements like, “I’m not a writer,” or, “I am not a legal expert.”
I also know medium-sized business customers who rely on employee performance-review software. This software takes them from staring at a blank piece of paper to ending up with a clear, concise and comprehensive document. I also have customers who already have a performance review process and related document in place; but, it is not comprehensive or the content may contain language that is not legally-compliant. Using a reliable and guaranteed software package as a supplemental resource, they simply copy and paste relevant content from the software application tool onto their own document.
Performance Review Software Has Built-In HR Expertise
This is an important point: There is a common perception that performance reviews serve to only discipline or evaluate the so-called problem employee. Actually more than that, an effective performance review process serves to help a business retain their most highly-motivated and talented employees. These are the people you want to keep and the ones you want engaged in your business.
An effective employee-performance review is a two-way process, one that helps you further develop these star performers. Therefore, you also need their (the employee’s) feedback about ways to help improve or change their work environment, so that they can be more productive, energized and engaged. With a two-way, built-in communication process, you can learn important information about their professional needs and goals.
Using this information, you can then maximize ways to help them develop in areas that they need or want to grow.
Why Reinvent the Wheel?
I know business-writing experts who teach seminars and use software application products during their training sessions. Quality professionally-developed HR software products are reliable, and they save valuable time. As they say, “Why reinvent the wheel?”
