Biography: Veronica Fernandez

I have a Bachelor of Business Administration in Human Resources Management from St. Mary’s University and a Master of Business Administration in Management from Our Lady of the Lake University. I have my certification as a Professional in Human Resources (PHR), as well as a Learning Systems Facilitator for Development Dimensions International (DDI). I am a member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), the San Antonio American Society of Training and Development (SA-ASTD), as well as the San Antonio Human Resource Management Association (SAHRMA), where I have held the Board Member positions of Vice President, Student Chapters and Vice President, Research and Development. I also volunteer as a Big Sister Mentor with the Big Brothers, Big Sisters organization.

My background includes 13 years in the Human Resources field with expertise in managing and overseeing all functions of Human Resources including: client service relations; organizational and strategic management; training and development; employee relations and performance management; staffing/recruiting and retention; compensation and benefits administration; federal and state employment law; policy and procedure development; supervision/management and the start-up of HR departments. I currently work as a Performance Specialist for Administaff, Inc. in San Antonio, Texas where I provide business analyses for my small to mid-sized business clients, as well as design and facilitate trainings to fulfill the needs discovered during those analyses.

When I have a free moment, I like to relax by watching meaningless T.V., working out (especially running), going bargain shopping, spending time with my dog, Duki, and especially hanging out with my wonderful husband!
