FLSA Exemption Tester

The U.S. Department of Labor has revised the "white collar" exemptions to the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA). The Descriptions Now Exemption Tester has been replaced with a link to FLSA information to help you with some of the issues in determining FLSA exemption from overtime requirements.

The utility DNRPRDB.EXE compresses and repairs your Descriptions Now 5.x database. This utility performs both the repair and compact functions in a single request and creates an audit log that details the operations.

The Migration Utility converts the database from a previous version of People Manager to your current version of People Manager. This improved Migration Utility includes enhanced audit log reporting and a more robust migration process for the data. This utility should be used in place of the utility that shipped with the People Manager 3.0 product.

The installation program for this Migration Utility will install a new version of the Migration Notes document. Please read the new Migration Notes document before migrating your data from People Manager 2.x to People Manager 3.0. The Notes are available from the Welcome screen of the Migration Utility.

The error message below has been reported by customers who have recently updated to Service Pack 2 for Windows XP:

This updated Performance Now 4 program addresses the following issues:

• Creating a review for a briefcased employee causes the program to end with an application error message
• Opening a review, you get an error that says: "6 Overflow - Review360". Clicking OK on the error message causes the program to end.

We have created a patch (PN6_TextControl.exe) that will correct this issue and allow you to access your handbook on the new system.

Download this update to Descriptions Now if you are having problems with the MS Office toolbar.

This update is for users of Descriptions Now who are having problems with the Microsoft Office toolbar. This update applies to users of Descriptions Now version 4.0x who use Windows 3.x and Microsoft Office version 4.x.

After installing Descriptions Now you may get the message "Call to undefined Dynalink" when starting Descriptions Now or MS Office. This problem is caused by a mismatched set of files in your Windows system directory. This update will install a complete set of these files which will work with both MS Office and Descriptions Now.

In versions 3.00 and 3.01 of Performance Now, the popup calendar in Employee Log does not go beyond the year 1999. This patch updates your Performance Now Version 3.x product to Version 3.02, which corrects this problem.
