Kentucky, Age Discrimination Law Summaries
Age discrimination in employment is prohibited by Kentucky's fair employment practices law (Kentucky Revised Statutes Annotated, Title XXVII, Chapter 344-reported at ¶18-2500), and by provisions in the state personnel law (Kentucky Revised Statutes Annotated, Title III, Chapter 18A), which are summarized below. However, see ¶18-2500 for any provisions that apply under the state's fair employment practices law.

No person in the classified service of the state of Kentucky over the age of 40 may be discriminated against because of age (Sec. 18A.140, as amended by Ch. 154 (S. 139), L. 1998).
School employees.- There are also specific prohibitions against discrimination against certain school employees (Title XII, Ch. 151B, Sec. 151B.090; and Title XIII, Ch. 161, Sec. 161.164).
