Sample Outside Employment Policy
If employees contemplate accepting supplemental outside employment, they should first review the proposal with their supervisor. Any question of propriety regarding such employment must be cleared with the general manager or corporate staff department head concerned.
Employees are not permitted to engage in any other employment if such employment affects the satisfactory performance of their primary accountability to the organization. No employee will ever be permitted to engage their time or talents with a firm that competes with us. Also, you may not reveal what you learn in our organization as to techniques, policy, programs and so forth to any other individual or company whether a competitor or not.
