What is a vacation donation program?

Under a vacation or leave donation policy, employees donate time off to other employees for specific causes, such as illness or crises.

Under such a program, leave is available to employees for a medical condition of the employee or of the spouse, dependent child or parent of the employee that requires the employee to be absent from work for a prolonged period of time without pay.
