What is the OSHA annual survey?

OSHA will conduct an annual survey to collect information on the number of workers employed and the hours the employees worked during designated periods. Other information may be requested from required records - information contained in injury and illness records will most likely be surveyed.

Small employers and low-hazard industry employers who are generally exempt from recordkeeping requirements may be required to participate. If so, they will be notified a year in advance and will be required to keep injury and illness records.
