When does eligibility for the COBRA premium subsidy end?

Eligibility for the temporary COBRA premium subsidy ends on the earliest of:

  • nine months after first receiving the subsidy;

  • the date COBRA continuation coverage would otherwise end (based on the qualifying event); or

  • when the individual becomes eligible for coverage under another group health plan, or for Medicare benefits.
