Arkansas, Pregnancy and Maternity Discrimination Law Summaries


The Arkansas Civil Rights Act of 1993 prohibits gender discrimination in employment. "Gender" is defined under the law as including pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions. The law is codified in Title 16, Subtitle 7, Ch. 123 of the Arkansas Code of 1987. For a summary of the law, see 4-2500 . For maternity leave provisions, see 4-7000 .
